Sony Mobile Festival: the first festival dedicated to short movies and videoclips shot using solely a mobile phone.

Sony Mobile Festival – Moving people making movies is a creative contest hosted on the website www.mobilefestival.it from September 3, 2011 until April 30, 2012. The call is open to creatives, artists and young authors, who are asked to shoot short movies or music video clips using solely mobile devices instead of a video camera. Filmmakers are asked to shoot videos using a mobile device to experiment the narrative and poetic possibilities that such a device offers.The creative contest allows two categories for entries: short movies and video clips. The aim of Sony Mobile Festival is to create and spread a new audiovisual language that matches the typical sound of a telephone conversation with the aesthetics of the image reproduced by a mobile phone.

Up for grabs 18.000€ worth of prizes. A prestigious jury will evaluate the submitted entries. The well-known Directors Leandro Manuel Emede e Alberto D’Onofrio will be testimonials of the project together with Andrea Rosi, Sony Music President.
